How do I get to Hitchin Priory Summer Series?

By Train:

From London:
Very frequent departures via Thameslink, i.e. from Farringdon, London St. Pancras and Finsbury Park. Approximately 45 minutes.

Hitchin Train Station:
15 minute walk to Hitchin Priory.

By Car:

Excellent road links with the A1 close-by providing easy links from London.

Parking:

Local parking is available in the area.

By Bus:

Many bus links from Stevenage, Biggleswade, Bedford, Luton, St. Albans, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Bishop’s Stortford and more.

Accessible Tickets

We welcome all accessible customers to the Hitchin Priory Summer Series.

Please buy your ticket via the Accessible Tickets option on the individual Ticketmaster event page. There are two types of accessible tickets:

The Accessible Platform tickets are for mobility-impaired access customers and customers that would otherwise be unable to attend the event.

Ambulant Tickets are for customers who are able to stand and only require accessible toilets, the accessible entrance or/and a Companion.

Please add Essential Companion tickets to your order if you require them.

Once you have purchased the tickets, Ticketmaster will confirm the ticket via an eligibility check.

At a later date, our team will be in touch via email to better capture individual accessibility requirements and support you ahead of your experience.

What are the gates opening times?

When is last entry?

The last entry time to all weekday events is 8pm.

The last entry time to all weekend events is 7pm.

Is there seating? Can I bring a chair?

There are no specific seated areas, although ticket holders may bring a picnic-style blanket if they’d like to sit on the grass. Unfortunately, we can’t allow chairs to be brought into the venue.

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, pets are not allowed. If you need to bring a dog because of accessibility requirements, please contact info@hitchinsummerseries.com

Can I bring an umbrella?

No umbrellas are permitted in the venue, so in case of rain please bring clothing appropriate for wet weather. We are an outdoor venue so at liberty of the elements!

Can I bring a bag?

To make sure your entry to the site is as seamless as possible, we recommend that you don’t bring a bag. However, you can bring a bag up to 45cm x 36cm x 20cm in size if necessary. No suitcase or large bags will be permitted. There are no cloakroom or locker facilities on site. Please also make sure to check the prohibited items list.

Can I bring food and drinks?

No outside food or drink is allowed into the festival venue during a live event day, but we have a stellar line-up of street-food vendors  you can buy food from.There will be bars onsite selling a wide range of alcoholic drinks including wines, spirits, cider, craft ales and lager, as well as non-alcoholic drinks. Please note that a Challenge 25 policy is in operation at all bars on site.

Can I bring a water bottle?

You can bring in a sealed 500ml water bottle or empty water bottle. Any reusable bottles, unsealed plastic bottles, bottles over 500ml will be poured out at the door but can be filled onsite at drinking water points.

What items are not allowed onsite at Hitchin Priory Summer Series?

There are no cloakroom facilities and staff are not permitted to store, hold or look after items. For the safety of the event and attendees, unattended items such as bags, chairs, umbrellas etc, will be promptly removed and disposed of.

Our security team reserve the right to confiscate prohibited items.

Do not bring

  • No bags larger than A4 size are permitted in the venue.
  • Umbrellas are not allowed to be brought in.
  • We have a zero tolerance Drug policy and have searching / sniffer dogs at the entrance. Anyone found with any illegal substances will not be allowed in and passed over to the police.
  • No beverages or food, aside from sealed water, are allowed to be brought into the site.
  • No buggies & pushchairs are allowed on site. If this means you can no longer attend, please contact your ticket provider for a refund.
  • No camping chairs are permitted on site – there is seating on the accessible platform exclusive to those with disabilities.
  • Anything that can be used as a weapon is strictly prohibited, such as knives. Anyone found with weapons will be passed over to the police.

What you should / can bring:

  • Please bring Valid ID / proof of age.
  • You can bring a small bag no larger than 21cm x 30cm x 10cm – the size of an A4 piece of paper.

Can I park at Hitchin Priory Summer Series?

There is no parking available at Hitchin Priory Summer Series, please use alternative transport where possible.

Can I see the stage from the VIP area?

Whilst there is a good view of the stage from the VIP area, please note that this is not a golden circle and that the VIP area is at the back of the arena.

Q.

Can I leave the event and come back later?

There is no re-entry to the site once you have entered the event. Please make sure you have everything you need with you. If you need to re-enter the event for exceptional circumstances please ask a member of our security or event management team.

Besides food and drink, what other on-site facilities are there?

Box Office

If you are collecting tickets or have any ticketing queries, please visit our on-site Box Office, which is open from 30 minutes before doors to 9pm.

Toilets

Toilets, including accessible toilets, are located throughout the site and clearly signposted.

Welfare and First Aid

There is Welfare and First Aid provision on site. Services are open during event hours and all visits are logged and recorded. If you need to store medicine, you can store it in the fridge at the Welfare Tent.

Lost property

Lost Property is also handled at the Welfare Tent. Please head there and speak to our Lost Property Manager if you have lost or found an item.

Free drinking water

There are free drinking water points available throughout the event. We encourage you to bring your own reuseable water bottle to refill at these points.

Recycling bins

In an effort to reduce the use of plastic at our event, there is a ban on the sale of all single-use plastic bottles on site. You can find recycling bins, alongside general waste bins on-site.

Accessibility Facilities

There is an accessible viewing platform onsite as well as accessible toilets and a separate, accessible entrance. Please note that these facilities are application-based.

Please note that there are no cash points available on site.

What can I expect at security?

We are working closely with the police to make Hitchin Priory Summer Series a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. In order to have a drug- and crime-free event we search all customers on entry to the site without exception.

Laws around so-called ‘legal highs’, such as psychoactive substances, are now in force. If found with these or any other illegal drugs, you will be asked to leave and may be passed to the police who are based onsite. See www.talktofrank.com for more info.
